Message from Chomolungma - Earth Mother (Tibet) Your Goals Are Attainable

Goddess Inspiration and Affirmations

Chomolungma – Mother Goddess (Tibet)

Message as channeled by Tora Moon 9/15/10

Greetings Dear Ones!  Come and listen to the message I have for you this day:

I have been all but forgotten in my guise as Protector, Benefactor, and Great Mother to the Sherpa people of Tibet.  I live on in  my mountain form – for I am Eternal.  My mountain is Eternal and so is my love for my people.

My  name, Chomolungma, has been usurped even as my sacred peak has been desecrated by men.  You now know me as “Mount Everest”.  The name of the man who ‘conquered’ my heights.

Dear Ones, even in this there is a lesson and a blessing for you.  Once, my heights were seen as unassailable, unreachable until one became determined to reach my summit.  A mighty goal was set.  People scoffed him saying it could not be done – for no one (that they knew) had climbed so high before.  He stuck to his goal and dream.  It was a mighty undertaking with much planning and gathering of support teams.  In stages the group traversed up my slope.  Until finally, the summit was reached.  But remember, Dear Ones, Everest did not accomplish this alone – with him was one of my Sherpa people.  He accomplished his goal in stages and with help.

So too, Dear Ones, can you attain ANY goal or dream you desire.  Even as my lofty summit was once thought as unattainable, your dream may seem so to you.  But with planning, perseverance, effort, a gathering of support, and determination, your goal can be reached as my peak has been.  My summit isn’t reached in one mighty effort, but in slow stages.  Base camps at various intervals have been set up for those who climb to rest, to recover, before the next phase of effort is undertaken.  Remember this when it seems as if your progress is stalled in accomplishing your goal.  You have only reached a plateau, a base camp.  Take the opportunity to rest and reflect on where you started and how far you have traveled.  Take a breath.  Take the time to look around you and appreciate where you are.

It is the journey to reach the goal that fills your life with purpose, beauty, love, and joy.  The journey provides you lessons, new skills learned, and insights about yourself.  Reflect on these.  Really experience them.  Then raise your eyes back to the summit; your goal or dream.  And begin your journey anew.  Soon, you will reach the summit, accomplish your goal and know you can be, do, or have all that you desire which is in your highest good.

Dear Ones, do not limit yourself by thinking your goal or dream is too lofty, too big.  If you dream it, you can achieve it.  Many in the world today have come to bring and be part of the great changes that the New Age is bringing.  These are dreams of mighty changes to the world.  If it seems too big for you to accomplish alone – perhaps it is.  My summit can NOT be reached in solitude.  It must be reached as a team effort.  So too, your dream may be the dream of others.  Gather together in community, cooperation, and co-creation and reach with one heart toward accomplishing your collective dream.  There are big dreams and dreamers in the world today.  You are not alone.  You do not have to do it alone.

Dear Ones, know we of the Divine, those in the Spirit Realm, watch over you with great love and are here to support you in all that you dream.

Blessings to you, Dear Ones.  There is great love here for you.

Affirmations

Everyday I do something that takes me closer to achieving my goal or dream.

I can be, do or have all that I desire.

I open up to receive others into my life who also share my dream.

I know I am loved.

I can accomplish my goal or dream.

It’s okay to ask for help and to gather support to reach my dream.

Notes:  There isn’t much information available on the Goddess Chomolungma (CHEW-muh-LONG-muh).  Most references to Her are simply that it is the pre-Western name for Mount Everest.  Because the Sherpa peoples of Tibet who revered Her had an oral tradition rather than a written one, very few stories have survived into the modern times.  What is known is, She is a Mother Goddess, one who provides, protects, and nurtures Her people.  And like so many other Earth Mother Goddesses, Her power was frightening to those of patriarchy and the one story which is told is of how She and her sisters had to be subdued by Guru Rinpoche to act as a servant of the new religion of the region, Buddhism.  This parallels the tale of St. Patrick driving the ‘snakes’ from Ireland to subdue the region to the new religion.  The snakes in this case were the indigenous Goddesses of Brigit, Danu, and others.

In one instance, I ran across an entry where the writer was saying the translation of Chomolungma as a Goddess was incorrect, that the real meaning of the word was “large hen”.  The writer was a mountaineer, going to the mountain to conquer Her yet again.  It makes sense that the Sherpas he talked to made light of the name of their most sacred mountain.  We do not speak of that which is sacred to those who would ridicule or do not understand.
